The cost of editing depends on the subject-matter, length and complexity of the document, and the type of editing required. Editing could involve the following: resolving grammatical errors, using proper punctuation, reconstructing paragraphs and sentences, eliminating the overuse of clichés, spelling, and greatly minimizing passive sentences, and rewriting.
